Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult year, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from March of that year.
Success also indicates he has won 21 victories at twenty-one distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," said ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his capacity to play at the top level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 early chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned the win with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
